The story behind this design is simple: I was idling at Facebook one day and saw a status update from a friend (thank you Marta!) which really hit me with its accuracy: Us women, we are just angels, even when we fly on our broomstick sometimes (it's flying anyway, and angels fly, don't they? *grin*).
The scalloped lacey border has white lace surrounding hearts and flower; these flowers are also decorating the corners of the sampler. Colours have been chosen to enhance the feminine look, but I ensure you that this design would also look amazing stitched with one colour only (picture here) or stitched with shades of one colour - maybe with your favourite over dyeds?

Charted for DMC and Kreinik blending filament; the design is not model stitched so the floss colours are simply mere recommendations.
Stitches used: full cross stitch, back stitch and fractional stitches.
